DTN COMMENTS: A few bids are now on the table in parts of Nebraska, but 
they are being passed. Packer inquiries should continue to improve as the 
day progresses. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until 
later today and/or tomorrow. Some live asking prices are noted around 
$240-plus in parts of the South, and few scattered dressed asking prices 
are being reported in Eastern Nebraska at $380. 

Beef cutouts are mixed at midday (choice 365.48 -1.00, select 349.27 
+0.11) with light to moderate box movement (36.13 lds of choice cuts, 
12.22 lds of select cuts, 3.71 lds of trim, and 11.25 lds of ground). At 
this time both live and feeder cattle contracts are moderately to sharply 
higher.
